It's Halloween!

No time to sit around and do nothing. Who wants to go out? I'm not sure what we'll do, but I shall be dressing up. Possibly like a wombat.

Hey, everyone. We've managed to verify all the signatures and things on the petitions to start parties, so here's how it stands:

- The First Party of New London
- The People First Party
- The Awesome Party
- The Ordinaries Solidarity Party
- The Royals Return Party
- The Party of the Church of England

Enjoy the campaign, folks.

Are you around? If you are, do you make house calls?

I'm sorry to do it this way but my head hurts too much I'm too lazy tired to focus on the screen much.

Thanks.

Hello, New London. I feel the need to remind you all that I run a bank, not a storage facility for all your junk. I can't and won't try to fit, say, a live chicken in an account box. Other things I won't put in anyone's box: teapots, jump ropes, electronic bits, makeup, clothing....

Please stop. Money only or I'll have to make up a new bank policy that involves me selling your possessions so they do fit in your box.

These things do generally seem to involve a formal introduction. Thus:

Greetings, New London. I'm Commodore Annika Ehrstrom, Intelligence Division of the Scandinavian Empire, and the newly-appointed diplomat to this island.

It's a pleasure.

Well, in light of various events the survivor records have been updated as needed. I'd like to reiterate to any newcomers to the city that they're welcome to stop by Westminster Cathedral if they'd like; we do our best here to record the last known whereabouts of all surviving souls in case concerned family members of friends come to the city. After all, as Buechner said:

"When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us. It means that if we meet again, you will know me. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart.
For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost."

Also, we'll give you tea.

And for all those I already know, yes, it's true, I've caved in to pressure and finally joined my personal computer to your fancy internets once more.

I find myself once again in need of a personal assistant.

Duties include filing, typing, and making sure no one barges into my office unannounced.

Interested persons should contact me directly.

News has been slow in coming from the Ministry of Culture lately! Why? There hasn't been any. HAH.

Well, not much that most people would be interested in anyway.

I just want to make sure everybody knows that even though we've got money now, the Museum is open and its services available to anyone in New London, citizen or visitor or whatever. We've only got our own stuff exhibited because I'm not organised and a 'cultural exchange' at the moment would really just be me stealing other countries' art and music and performance people and maybe giving them back someday. But I'm working on that.

Over the next month or two I'll be adding some 'crafts' workshops ('how to knit without tying your fingers to the needles,' that sort of thing) to the art classes being run whenever it occurs to me it'd be a good idea, so anybody who needs a hobby or whatever should keep an eye on the calendar at the front desk. If nobody does I'll have taught myself how to do this for nothing and that's not going to put me in a good mood even if I will have an unusually lumpy scarf to show for it.

Any thoughts or requests? Talk to me!
